PRE TREATMENT TECHNOLOGIES
Surface Treatment or conversion coating of metals can be of essential importance in many industries. Phosphate coatings are popularly used in present time on parts for corrosion resistance, lubricity, or as a foundation for subsequent coatings or painting. Today, the focus is to reduce the levels of heavy metals in these coatings and get a "phosphate free" treatments.
DECORRDALⓇ brand covers a wide range of pre-treatment chemicals for a variety of metals and surfaces. These products and processes have been constantly optimized over the last 50 years in order to keep pace with high-tech methods of application, allow shorter cycle times, fulfill ever-higher requirements in terms of quality and conform with more stringent environmental standards. The applications covered include conventional iron & zinc phosphate coatings as well as new phosphate-free technologies with low or no energy demands, Transition Metal Coatings (TMC).
PAINT COAGULATION TECHNOLOGIES
Paint Shops have always had the annoyance of paint overspray affecting the hygiene of the paint booth. The closed loop water systems to carry over the paints and have to deal with salt incrustations in exhaust air area & short life of circulating water because of pH shifts & microbial growth causing corrosion in installation has been a challenge.
ISOGOLⓇ range of paint coagulants for solvent bourne paints work on two step process: detackification by adsorption & flake enlargement. This technology results in instant conversion of paint into detackified paint sludge & continuous, maximum possible discharge of paint sludge of high density. The result is lesser residues & long useful life of circulating water.
PAINT STRIPPING TECHNOLOGIES
The paint overspray on the jigs, hangers, gratings and removal of defectively painted parts has been done conventionally by Paint Strippers based on Dichloromethane (DMC) based products. In present time of higher HSE awareness, evolved organisations are looking for DMC free alternatives for stripping.
CONTROXⓇ range of paint strippers work on a special physiochemical technology. These polar fluids with small molecules and high vapour pressure penetrate the coating layer to break intermolecular forces without any chemical bond breakage resulting in swelling of the paint layer forming blisters, bursting and lifting up from the substrate. Amongst the many variants these stripper are used in either hot or cold forms.
